Organisations increasingly expect to see results quickly. Coaching isn't the fastest development method so it is essential that we design and adapt our coaching initiatives in such a way as to get the outcomes needed. Developing an impact-orientated mindset will help you generate and use the evidence you need to evolve the focus or delivery of your coaching initiatives as an organisation’s needs change.
After careers as an adviser to ministers as a senior civil servant and as a management consultant, Katharine St John-Brooks trained as an independent executive coach in 2003. She is the author of Internal Coaching: The Inside Story (Karnac Books, 2014), and has contributed chapters on internal coaching to four coaching books over the past five years, including the Complete Handbook of Coaching. She is currently writing a series of thrillers, with a coach as the principal character.
