The topic for this session will be Safeguarding in the context of Coaching/Mentoring and hosted as usual by Keith and Robin but resourced by regular members of the Scotland Network: Ruth Galloway-Kirkland and Caroline Anthony who have a particular interest in the topic.

1. Recognition and naming of types of harm: Physical abuse / Domestic violence or abuse / Sexual abuse / Psychological or emotional abuse / Financial or material abuse / Modern slavery / Discriminatory abuse / Organisational or institutional abuse / Neglect or acts of omission / Self-neglect.
2. 5 R’s of safeguarding: Recognise, respond, report, record, refer.
3. What information do we need at client intake to support us in our safeguarding actions? How can we best contract with our clients around this?
4. If there is time… any safeguarding dilemmas people are willing to share.
